To order a bar drink took FOREVER! The lady told me 20 for my drinks, but charged me 26 and the drink had almost no alcohol and was watered down when I got it. No need to keep saying what we are having. She went over things at the start and that was good, but every time she brought out food she added bad jokes and lingered a bit, which distracted us from the show. Once we were seated, our server was in our the WHOLE entire time throughout the show. It was chaos going in and not knowing where to go. All in all, a fun experience and one worth revisiting every few years. Souvenirs were reasonably priced for most items, but some things were quite expensive. Make your booking online and check carefully for discounts and special "package" prices with a selection of "extras" for additional cost. Choreography of all phases of the show was well done and horses were extremely well trained and well managed by their handlers and the knights that rode them. Show itself was a bit overdone from an adult perspective, but very entertaining and a great experience for kids of all ages. All in all a good way to spend a weekend evening. Servers work for tips, so be prepared to hear their speech about that and if service is good and server is not not obnoxious, tip a little extra. No forks, knives or spoons provided - just eat with your hands. Show was well suited for kids and adults of all ages. Very well organized, well run, clean place to visit with family, friends and to do something different. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, but would likely not return. As a result, don't expect to walk away from this show without paying something more than your original fare. Surprise.after you paid for the entry ticket, and any bar drinks (and tips), at the end of the performance your server will ask for a gratuity. If you add an alcoholic beverage, you will pay extremely high rates due to the take-home glass that you'll never use again. As long as you ONLY have a fountain drink or water, you are GTG. This is where the experience definitely falters. The chicken portion is large if you compare it to Nando's (also located in Arundel Mills Mall, and separately reviewed) the chicken at Medieval Times is more robust, but less favourful. The food potions are more than enough for a grown adult. The actors do a lot to engage the audience and elicit feedback. There's some intensity / suspense involved, but nothing that would be overwhelming. For smaller kids, the performance remains "clean " the violence associated with the dismounted sword fighting at the end of the tournament remains playful. Although the size of the arena seems small, the performance definitely makes use of the area. The entertainment definitely meets the value of the ticket paid. There's two aspects to this experience: the entertainment factor and the dining. We visited in early December on a Friday night.
